The aim of right kind of education is to develop complete human beings, equipped not only with technical knowledge but also with sensitivity to the world around them. It should bring to mind an ability to empathize with all living things, to appreciate the beauty and harmony in nature, to introspect, to balance one’s inner self with external world. Keeping all these essential objectives in mind and specifically the requirements of the students of the rural area, a need to open an educational institute was felt by the enlightened and progressive people of Halduchaur, a town 15 kilometres away from Haldwani, in the district of Nainital in Uttarakhand. Thus the college has come into existence in the year 2001 initially as a technical institute.
