Government Degree College Muwani (Pithoragarh) is situated in the Lesser Himalayan Zone of Kumuan Himalaya at an altitude of 2010 mt. Government Degree college Muwani came into being in 2014. The college was earlier affiliated to KUMAUN UNIVERSITY NAINITAL, UTTARAKHAND. Now it is affiliated to SOBAN SINGH JEENA UNIVERSITY, ALMORA The basic purpose of the establishment of the college, was to extend education to the most common and poor person of this remote hilly area. At present, the college is running class of B.A. with subjects (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Political Science, Economics, and Sociology)
