Government Degree College Gururabanj situated in Lesser Himalayan Zone of Uttarakhand Himalaya at an altitude of 1951 mt. in Almora District
Government Degree College Gururabanj, Almora came in to being in 2006 in commerce stream 751/xxiv(7) 2006, dated 08-08-2006 with a small number of students. The basic purpose of the establishment of the college, was to extend the education to the most common and poor person of this remote hilly area. At present, the college has good number (208) of students in Arts and Commerce stream.
